Isn’t it grand that The Queen celebrates two birthdays each year: her actual birthday on 21 April and her official birthday on (usually) the second Saturday in June? Each year, a great display of military precision, horsemanship and fanfare marks the official birthday of the Queen with over 1400 parading soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians.
The Queen was born at 17 Bruton St, Mayfair on 21 April 1926 and christened on 29 May 1926 at Buckingham Palace. Princess Elizabeth (now The Queen) blossomed from a young girl who did not expect to be Queen, to an iconic and celebrated figure who has ruled for more than 60 years as Britain’s Monarch.
Her Majesty is a well loved and respected figure across the globe. She has become an important figurehead for the UK and the Commonwealth because of her commitment to public and voluntary service. To this day, she continues to carry out a full program of engagements, from school and charity visits, to hosting visiting Heads of States, to leading the nation in Remembrance and celebratory events.
It’s hard to believe she is 94 and still working. Her daily routine almost always involves her personal maid, dressers, hair dresser, footmen, assistant, press secretary and private secretary who turns on her radio, draws her bath, chooses her wardrobe, fixes her hair, serves her breakfast, prepares a news digest for her to read, opens doors for her, and the like.
Wouldn’t it be nice to be treated like royalty for once?
We look to affluent people and their lifestyle and dream about living a day in their life. We continue to wonder how it is to be treated like royalty. Well, here is the closest thing: using Bamboo Fibre products.
Bamboo Fibre Towel
No one can draw your bath for you but you can still rely on the good old temperature-controlled shower. Drying yourself with towels made from bamboo fibre is giving yourself a long deserved royal treatment as you enjoy its luxurious softness and absorbency. Your skin doesn’t get irritated because of rough towel material or moisture left behind on your skin.
Bamboo fibre towels are anti-microbial. This means that they prevent bacterial growth in the towels even if they are constantly wet and not cleaned as often. The moisture wicking property of bamboo fibre allows the towels to dry fast and thus does not encourage bacterial growth.
Bedding
You’ll surely wake up looking like royalty, all refreshed and energized from a good nights’ rest when you use bedding made from bamboo fibre. Some of the most comfortable bedding are bamboo fibre sheets, mattress toppers and pillowcases as they are soft and comfortable.
This type of bedding helps you sleep better because they keep you dry and regulate your body temperature as you slumber. You do not also get allergies as this bedding resists bacteria that cause infection. Add to that the fact that bamboo fibre bedding do not shrink or pile like other common materials even with constant washing.
Clothing
Even without a private dresser, you can still have a taste of royal luxury when you wear clothing made from bamboo fibre. The fibre of the bamboo plant pulp can be made into a wide range of dresses, slacks, shirts, and sock. Because of the natural anti-microbial properties which are retained despite the processing, bamboo fibre is perfect for creative active wear and sportswear.
Even the people with the most sensitive skin can wear clothing from bamboo fibre products as they are soft and comfortable. You will also feel great after a hard work out due to the moisture wicking properties of the bamboo fibre. It is a great investment because they do not shrink.
Why dream about getting the royal treatment when you can make it a reality. Go ahead and invest in your self-care and overall health. Why not indulge yourself in pampering your body. You deserve it. Afterall, you are the one who is working hard.
